My name’s Katherine, and I am a junior from New York City majoring in neuroscience and minoring in linguistics and chemistry. I am a part of Dr. Liping Feng’s Lab studying the effect of PFAS on maternal health and fetal brain development. I am also a member of the Language, Music, and Dementia Bass Connections team under Dr. Edna Andrews. I joined BrainIAC because given how common brain injuries are, I believe it is a field of neuroscience that should be discussed further, from both an academic and social perspective. I am looking forward to working with patients with brain injuries as well as learning more about brain injury research from scholars here at Duke.
